ASID Events for 2025

Dear Colleagues,

The Australian Society of Implant Dentistry Flyer with our 2025 events is now here.

Its going to be a big year for the ASID members. Our accreditation program is being revamped for June July and August, with special offers for ASID alumni who wish to refresh their skills by re-attending our courses.

The essentials for modern implantology will cover the basics of restoring implants , record keeping and treatment planning and getting started with simple implant sites. A common issue with troubles with AHPRA are poor note keeping and treatment planning. Although designed to give good foundtions for inexperienced Implantologists. Experienced clinicians can brush up on their record keeping, consent process and fundamentals.

Our advanced course for prosthetics and occlusion do a deep dive into truly considering a " Crown down." approach to implantology. Run by specialist Prosthodontist Dr Tom Giblin, you will gain a comprehensive view to planning implants starting with the end in mind.

The third course surgical aspects of implantology builds on the surgical skills needed when moving to more advanced procedures.

Hand on exercises with models will be at each course, enhanced by having opportunity to place implants from a variety of implant companies.

The ASID is a non commercial volunteer organisation that is by Dentists for Dentists to help promote and educate in implantology. Our goal is to have participants learn the skills and education to place safe , predictable implants in their patients.

This year we will also be hosting online case presentation evenings free for ASID members to watch online. Free CPD regularly. This will also be a platform for those wishing to present for their Fellowship of the ASID.

ICOI are also returning to Sydney for their world Congress in September. ASID members will be getting a discount to attend. Those who participated in 2023 will remember how great an event it was.
