Devoted to Dental Education

The main objective of the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry is to promote the study and practice of implant dentistry. We define implant dentistry as the science and art of providing suitable substitutes for one or more lost or missing natural teeth. Utilizing surgical intervention and the implantation of a suitable material into or below the soft and/or hard tissues of the mandible and/or maxilla in order that impaired function, appearance, comfort and health of the patient may be restored.

Run by Dentists for Dentists

The ASID is run by dentists for dentists. Practicing general dentists and specialists are the foundation of our education programs. The programs are not company specific and are designed to ensure members and participants receive up to date education in Dental Implants.  Our quarterly dinner meetings provide further opportunities to listen to implant education presentations.

The ASID is affiliated with the Australian Dental Association Incorporated (ADA), and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
